Showcasing our Unique Capabilities at the New Valmont® Global Headquarters
The Valmont Global Headquarters moved to a new building and campus in Omaha, NE. The building, completed July of 2021, is where all Valmont divisions come together to achieve our purpose of Conserving Resources. Improving Life.® Located on Omaha’s Heartwood Preserve, the building and campus are surrounded by natural beauty. In order to compliment the nature surrounding our new headquarters, Valmont Structures designed a unique combination of lighting poles and features to surround the building and campus.
When deciding on light pole designs, Valmont wanted to compliment the natural setting of our new campus while still highlighting our unique and innovative design capabilities. Our Tehomet Wooden Poles were a perfect fit for this vision, and two different wood pole assemblies can be found throughout the Heartwood Preserve campus.
First, we chose the Ivalo Wooden Pole for area lighting near the building and in the parking lot. Our Ivalo design consists of a wooden tapered pole, transitioning from square to round to blend seamlessly with a square steel base. This striking but simplistic design compliments both the natural setting and our Global Headquarters. We also chose the Seka Wooden Pole coupled with banner arms and a custom Seka arm for street lighting throughout the campus. Both poles couple natural wood material with sleek steel features. This unique combination of manmade and natural materials mirrors the relationship between our Headquarters and its natural setting. By incorporating wooden material into our lighting designs, the street and area lighting surrounding the building blends effortlessly with the Heartwood Preserve.
Finally, Valmont designed the traffic poles at the intersections surrounding and throughout the Heartwood Preserve Campus. While our decorative wooden material was not an option for these signal poles, we still wanted the natural elements of the campus to carry into the pole design. We were able to design our traffic signal steel poles to be consistent with our decorative wooden poles by using a custom wood-colored paint and using the simplistic yet striking composition of our wooden poles. The custom design incorporated a tapered pole and similar decorative components to the Ivalo and Seka designs, providing cohesive street and area lighting throughout the Heartwood Preserve.
