Valmont’s Decorative Products Dress Up Shorewood, IL
When it came time for the Village of Shorewood to replace outdated light poles, they called Valmont to ensure the new poles would bring both light and charm to the town. Disappointed with the durability of their previous poles, the Shorewood leaders wanted to invest in an enduring product. Due to Valmont’s success on similar projects in the Chicago region, Shorewood was convinced that Valmont would deliver the best decorative pole assemblies with lasting quality.
With an entire catalog of decorative shafts, luminaire arms and base covers at their fingertips, Shorewood created its own unique assembly from Valmont’s wide variety of products. To enhance the safety of the poles, Shorewood chose Valmont’s Federal Highway Administration tested and certified cast aluminum base covers and break-away couplings - a certified product no other manufacturer offered. Each base also included a custom door which featured a cast of the Village of Shorewood logo. Valmont’s V-PRO protective paint and coating system provided an enduring finish that fit Shorewood's aesthetic taste. The finish also met its quality requirements, as the system came backed with a five-year warranty and complimentary pole maintenance training.
