Keizer, OR partners with Valmont to decorate the Keizer Station Shopping Area
As the City of Keizer, OR was planning the Keizer Station shopping area, they wanted to create an aesthetic that would attract customers and act as a showcase for the city. To create a consistent and up-scale look throughout, Keizer chose to collaborate with Valmont to embellish the area with decorative pole products.
Although it was important for the shop buildings to create an inviting atmosphere, the city was smart not to overlook the impact the surrounding streets have on shoppers’ experience. Thanks to Valmont’s helpful engineering and sales teams, the city was able to quickly identify the types of poles they needed. Valmont designed decorative traffic poles for several intersections in order to ensure safe access for both cars and pedestrians. To extend the new style into the nearby streets, Keizer selected aluminum street lighting poles with decorative arms, bases, banners and finials. The city chose short aluminum pedestrian poles to accompany the street lighting and to improve the pedestrian experience. Finally, Valmont finished all the poles with a dark green paint based on the city standard.
Now Keizer Station features a wide variety of poles that not only provide a pleasing aesthetic, but also go beyond that by improving the identity and brand of the shopping area and the city as a whole. While custom pole projects may seem difficult to realize, Valmont welcomes the challenge to turn a concept into a reality for our customers.
