Valmont Anodizing
Offered in standard clear and a variety of colors, Anodizing your aluminum structure will make it stand out while protecting it from the elements.
The process of anodizing gives your aluminum structures a thicker skin, greatly extending the products lifespan while providing options for color and design. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into an anodic oxide finish. The product is dipped into cleaning and pretreatment tanks prior to being immersed it into an acid electrolyte bath. An electric current is passed through the material releasing oxygen ions that combines with the aluminum atoms at the surface of the part to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the aluminum. Unlike other coating options, this anodic oxide structure is fully integrated with the underlying substrate so it will not chip or peel.
