ENGINEERING AND DESIGN ASSISTANCE AND CAD DRAWINGS
We
engineer and design all of the poles we manufacture, CAD
drawings are available for every pole type and project in
our computer database. Our engineering expertise is well
recognized internationally on a number of transmission pole
projects and domestically in every area of pole design demanding
innovation and versatility. The company has, jointly with
our customers, designed award-winning solutions to lighting
problems ranging from street lighting to area and sports
lighting.
FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (FEA)
We at Valmont West Coast Engineering are taking to the limit ALGOR, state
of the art, finite element software. Our engineers are currently
professionally using the Finite Element Method (FEM) and
ALGOR software in designing and optimizing procedures in
order to obtain more flexible and better looking products.
By combining our engineering experience with the power of
FEM we are able to set up a powerful virtual laboratory
allowing us to perform numerous Finite Element Analysis
and our manufacturing facilities enable us to compare theoretical
results with physical tests results.
TRAINING PROGRAM
An important component of our service is thorough training
of engineers, technicians, machine operators and designers
of our turnkey pole plants including tests in Canadian Welding
Bureau (CWB) certifications and CNC procedures.
SEMINARS AND PRODUCT RESEARCH
Our engineers and technicians travel extensively on a global
basis dealing with utilities and other pole users, conducting
seminars and meetings and providing solutions to lighting
and power transmission needs.
TECHNOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Valmont West Coast Engineering offers on-going technological assistance to
our international customers and partners in the form of improved
and updated equipment technology based on changing and evolving
market conditions.
MARKETING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Active marketing assistance is also offered to our international
customers/partners. Targeted, aggressive sales programs can
be designed to maximize the production capacity of each factory.
Our network of contacts and marketing expertise allows each
factory a convenient entry into the global pole market by
pooling of our sales and supply resources.
